Introduction

There are 41 gazetted beaches managed by the Department in the Region. Shark prevention nets have been installed at 32 beaches, including 10 beaches in Southern, 9 in Islands, 6 in Tuen Mun, 1 in Tsuen Wan and all 6 beaches in Sai Kung.
