  4. Input of patent/patent application no.

It is not necessary to input the letters "HK" or the check digit of patent/patent application no. when filling the interactive request. Please see examples below:-

  5. Display of address for registered designs ¡ª "as is" principle

A new display format of address for registered designs will be available on 28 November 2005 in online search, official journal as well as Registry's letters (including certificates). Please see the tables attached showing the new display format.

For trademarks and patents, the new display format of address will be available early next year.

  6. ISO Country Code

We have received feedback on the different country names shown in the electronic form after conversion to PDF format. We are considering how to display the country name after alignment with users in the Working Group meeting held in early December 2005.

  7. Preparation of submitting interactive forms

Here are some tips for preparation of submitting interactive forms:-

  • submit XML interactive forms in testing site to make sure the XML interactive forms are filled and generated properly.
  • submit some XML files (e.g. electronic forms) in production with the same PC, user account and e-certificate, to make sure the basic setup it ready and user is familiar with the uploading procedure.
  • prepare payment in Debit Account

If you have any enquiry on the above, please contact us at (852)2961 6820 or by email to enquiry.
