Focus User Group Update ¡ª April 2006
The IPD, HKSAR has rolled out all Phase I interactive services in February 2006. With Phase II of such services to be rolled out in May 2006, we shall further align IT user requirements via this discussion forum. We shall also conduct a business survey to scope the international trend in e-commerce.
The IPD e-business update is under Whats new.
Some of the issues being serviced are ¡ª
E-filing
- Different e-certs to be used at different steps at e-filing process (e.g. upload, submit).
- Use password authentication at upload and e-cert at submit during the e-filing process.
- When replying to IPD's correspondence, Extension of Time (ET) should be extended automatically.
(Note: Extension of time under Trade mark Rule 13(3) will be automatically granted if interactive form T13 is filed. (Such interactive services will be available in May 2006))
- If user wants to apply Trade Mark application in both HKSAR and Mainland, user can tick a checkbox in HKSAR's T2 form and the application will pass to CTMO of SAIC for examination as well.
(Not available ¡ª but much depends on demand)
On-line search
- Function to consolidate Trade Mark, Patent and Design records in extract list of online search into a single document.
- Unique URL for receipt and each Trade Mark, Patent & Design record.
- Extract list - Retain selected records of previous page on online line search when using the back button on the browser.
- Extract list- After printing an item on the list, online search should show the last view page instead of the first search result.
The four online search items above will be scoped under the next system upgrade.
